Explore Washington

Experience Washington's fun scenic outdoor adventures!

- Ride a ferry to Bainbridge Island: Catch the ferry from the downtown Seattle waterfront. Shops on Bainbridge Island are near the ferry terminal so you can easily walk around and get a bite to eat. You can also take your bike if you want to explore more of the island. Take the Ferry back to Seattle at dusk and get a great view of the city lights!

- View the scenic Snoqualmie Falls: The waterfall is the largest during the rainy season but if you go during the summer bring a picnic lunch to eat outside.

- Visit the Museum of Glass in Tacoma: See glass art by world famous Dale Chihuly and watch live glass blowing.

- Take a trip to Mount Rainier: The highest mountain in WA at 14,411 feet (4,392m).

- Play in the snow at Snoqualmie Pass: Snowboard, Ski, Snowshoe, and Innertube.

- Go on a hike through forests, meadows, and rock trails: Find yourself on mountain tops, beside serene lakes and close to waterfalls.

- Spend a day at Leavenworth: A Bavarian-themed town offering German food, shopping, and festivals throughout the year. During the winter this is a popular destination for skiing and other snow sports.

- Enjoy a music concert at the Gorge Amphitheater: Located next to the Columbia River in Central Washington; this 25,000 seat outdoor venue has a great view with big name live acts.
